Installing Rosewill HS FAN

Hey quick question. Just built a new system last night, i Ordered a AMD x2 5000+ BE with a rosewill HS/Fan, the HS has a blue covering over the bottom part which is on top of the AMD chip. Should i have peeled this off?? the directions said nothing about taking it off.

You mean the film covering the base of the heatsink? Yes, you need to remove it. I would hate to what kind of tempts would result from leaving it on. If you did power the system on you still shouldn't have any damage result due to the CPU's internal thermal protection measures.
