installing rear speakers in a 2000 grand am

anyone have any experience doing this.... or if not in any grand am? Im not sure if i need to take my rear seat out or if i need to pop the old speakers out of the trunk or what. any help would be appreciated.

You get them from the trunk I think. My mother in law has one (or maybe a grand prix?) and you just have to look behind the trunk lid to see them in her car.

If you can see them there they're probably bolted down to the rear deck. If there are speaker grilles on top of the rear deck you may be able to pop these off and get access to the bolts. Some may require you to remove your rear seats to remove the panel covering the rear deck then allowing you access to the bolts.

You have to put down your rear seats and then take the plastic covering off. It's really easy, although you will feel like you are breaking something. Just pull on those little plastic clips and they will pop out. After that, you have to take the piece off that is over the speakers. Not the grills, but the entire back window piece. After that it's easy. The speakers pop out (they are cliped, not screwed in). From here it's pretty explainatory.
