Im getting ready to install my RAM into my EPoX 9NJA+ mobo.

Theres 4 slots and I wasnt sure If it mattered which slots I put it in (2x 512).

-Thanks

Usually, for two sticks of RAM, you have to put them in the 1st and 3rd slots OR the 2nd and 4th if you are looking for dual channel function. They are sometimes color coded to indicate this.
Should work no matter what slots you put them in but maybe not in dual channel.

#1 black #1 purple

should be slots 1 & 3.. check your manual

Black -----> Purple
|X| _ | | ----- |X| _ | |
|X| _ | | ----- |X| _ | |
|X| _ | | ----- |X| _ | |

(X's are your sticks btw)

(...yes i was bored)

I got a pic of the board.

here

You can see what Im talking about now. Inthe manual it says " To obtain best performance, simply mount DIMM sockets of the same color". So would that mean put them both in the same color for best performance.
