Installing new MB/CPU -- Lose partition information?

If I put a new mb/cpu on my system, will it mess up my hd partitions? or will they still be in tact ?
Using winxp if that helps, will have to clean install the os.

Partitions will be fine,you might have to reinstall the OS.

Windows XP should detect most of the changes in the new motherboard and processor, but your best bet is to reinstall from scratch if at all possible. If you are currently using a RAID setup then you will have problems putting in a new motherboard. Best to start over with a fresh install if that is the case.
