Installing Mandrake (already have WIN XP)

I already have WinXP installed on my 200GB hard drive. I only have that one partition. I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MY WINDOWS PARTITION. I want to install Mandrake so I can use Linux. I have mandrake iso's on 3 cds. I have partition magic 8, so i can partition my hard drive. What steps do I go through to partition my hard drive? How many partitions? How big should I make the partitions? What partitions go where? Should I use the "Install another operating system" option in partition magic? Please help me. Im new to this. If you could give me as much detail as possible, I would apprecite it. Thanks in advance.

swap
/usr

Or you can just let Mandrake partition the free space. Make thorough backups of your Windows system.

There's usually an automatic option for partitioning. It should take the free space and make a partition scheme using it. Really, if you're this new, a / and swap partitions are all you really need.
