Installing Mac OS X Tiger without a DVD drive

So I have an iMac with 10.2.9 and I want Tiger on it since a lot of mac apps need tiger, or at least panther. I have Tiger install DVDs.

The iMac has ONLY CDROM and CANNOT boot off an external DVD drive through USB.

So what are my options? Is there a way to convert the DVD to some CDs? Can I install it over the network?

As far as I know, Apple sells a CD set for a small fee.

If you have a 6 pin FireWire cable and another Mac with a DVD drive, you can install Tiger in Target Disk Mode, except on the earliest iMacs.
