GA-X58A-UD3R Socket 1366 wth i7-950 ( 4.8GT/s )

This is a response from GIGABYTE when ask if I get 4.8GT/s using a SATA3 connection.

(( Please explain; ))
If using the Intel ssd it would be suggested to be used under the Intel controller as the sata3 controller is not an native.

Are you referring to the Intel Q.P.I. ( Quick Path Interconnect ) as the Intel controller ?

Intel 330 180GB SSD will be installed

I AM MAKING EFFORTS TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO GET i7-950 AND THE INTEL 330 180gb SSD TO ENABLE THE 4.8GT/s QPI.

If using the Intel ssd it would be suggested to be used under the Intel controller as the sata3 controller is not an native controller and will route through the PCIe bus.

I need to know where exactly I plug the Intel 330 SATA cable to yield the i7-950 4.8 GT/s.

I am waiting for a response from GIGABYTE & INTEL about the this matter.

You have 2 Intel Sata3 ports. Pick one. Make sure latest Intel drivers are installed..

I don't think Intel will be much help with a Gigabyte motherboard..

I will need a PCI-E-to-6Gb/s SATA host bus adapter, like HighPoint’s Rocket 600 series, to get 6Gb/s SATA on your current boards.

Thanks for all who meant well.
