Installing heat spreaders on memory

Most memory sticks have stickers on them that identify the brand, speed, and timings of the memory. Should the sticker be removed before installing a heat spreader on the stick?

i would have thought so.. it is just for reference so you can identify the stick .. but it could void your warranty .. i wouls say just go for it ....

It seems pretty obvious to me now after reading my own post, lol.

I'm just going to place the sticker on the outside of the heat spreader!
