Installing heat spreaders on memory

Most memory sticks have stickers on them that identify the brand, speed, and timings of the memory. Should the sticker be removed before installing a heat spreader on the stick?
 
i would have thought so.. it is just for reference so you can identify the stick .. but it could void your warranty .. i wouls say just go for it .... 😉
 
It seems pretty obvious to me now after reading my own post, lol.

I'm just going to place the sticker on the outside of the heat spreader!
