Hi, I've recieved my custom built PC 2 days ago everything works besides my GPU apparently, whenever I install my gtx580 280.26 driver and restart I get a blue screen and my system has to repair itself.

My question is: is this my graphics card being broken? Not connected propourly or is it a windows issue/ do I need to reinstall windows 7?

PC specs:

-ASUS MATRIX GTX580 P/2DIS/1536MD5
-Intel® Core™ i7-2600K
-Antec Dark Fleet DF-85
-Samsung SH-222AB
-Aerocool Shark Fan 12cm Evil Black Edition
-OCZ VTX3-25SAT3-120G
-ASUS P8P67 EVO -=Rev.3.0=-
-Seagate ST32000641AS
-G.Skill 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit
-Corsair CMPSU-850TXV2

Have you tried a different driver set?

Verified your driver release is for x64 win7?

Safemode, try eventvwr.exe in the Win7 run box. Check your system header there.
