Well i just got a genkernel error and i lost the error but it happened on this step from the installation manual

Moving bzImage to /boot/kernel*****

Now, i checked my 'mount' right after and what do you know, but only my hdb3 (root partition) is mounted. A few steps before the genkernel i specifically remembered there being multiple mounts there whilst chrooted.

I believe my fstab is set up right. I have the devices going to the right chroot'd places.

Now i exit from chroot and 'mount -o remount,rw /dev/hdb3 /mnt/gentoo" and remount the /boot (hdb1) but then i chroot and again. only hdb3 mounted. i'm not sure whether or not i should see the swap (hdb2) as on because i read that used swaps never show in 'mount' but i need to have hdb1 2 and 3 mounted and showing as mounted when i'm chroot'd.

Thanks for your help.

p.s. thanks for comments, guys, in my thread to pick a linux distro. tonight by like midnight EST i have to get this install done to the point where gentoo is installed, but before when i have to do emerge -u world and install kde or fluxbox. have to ship out my pc across country for college tomorrow morning heh :p
