Installing Firefox...

Ok, I have an old version (1.0.1) installed and have downloaded 1.5 - do I have to uninstall 1.0.1 first, and then install 1.5, or will the installer take care of everything? I'm usually an IE guy, but occasionally if I notice anything suspicious I switch to FF :)

Also, is 1.5 Ok as versions go, and not got anything annoying that could cause issues compared to this older version I have?

Thanks in advance.

How can you have FF and still go back to IE?! :Q 1.5 has been very stable on all my PCs. I installed it over the previous version.

Thanks.

Erm, I still use IE alot out of habit really. I'm gradually building usage of FF - I don't like making a sudden switch. Being only on dialup, I prefer seeing and entering my password into the IE dialer - kind of a poor reason though :)

I'm on dialup as well. If you like that kind of dialing that IE gives, use the New Connection wizard to create a new internet connection. It might even already be there (just look in network connections). Using the FlashGot and MediaPlayerConnectivity extensions (so far) has enabled me to use FF exclusively (except for win updates).

You'll probably want to install it into a different folder I think. Also, it would probably be wise not to use the old version after having used the new one unless you created a new profile for the new install.
