Installing FC 3

Some how it seems I damaged my Mandrake install and I can't get into it. Everytime I boot up into Mandrake it goes to a black screen asking for login, however it used to just go past this as I never used a password, now it asks for a password, and I have no idea what it is. So I decided I'm going to try out FC 3. Will it give me the option to install over the Mandrake partition, is it an easy, automated install? Or is it more complex. I'm still new to Linux but need to keep Windows as well.

It's probably the easiest linux install out there. You'll have the option to use the exisiting parititions, erase the disk and create automatic or custom partitions, or use the free space.

I like FC3 better than any other distro because it is so easy; however, a lot of people around here LOVE ubuntu.

If youve used Partition Magic before (and know what swap is) then you should be able to even do the manual partitioning in FC3, automated of course is easiest.I agree with tim, definitely one of the easiest installs.

No password? :shocked::evil::roll::thumbsdown:

You might want to reconsider that decision for this upcoming install.
