Can someone tell me what groups do you have to belong to in order to install exchange 2000. I know you have to be a member of admin and scheme admins but are there others. I'm trying to run forest prep but it keeps telling me I do not have permission to extend the scheme.

Is the server part of a forest of other servers?

/forestprep should work on the server holding the forest.
 
Yes the server is part of a forest. There is another system that has a domain contoller already installed. I'm simply trying to extend the exchange scheme over to that domain contoller running active directory.
 
I'm assuming you are logging into that domain controller.

Do you have the ability to run the /forestprep on that domain controller directly?
