Installing DVD player

I bought a NEC ND4570a and just installed in there now. When I booted up for the first time it said Win2000 picked up new hardware so it had to restart, upon a new restart it does not show CD drive anymore, or the new installed DVD drive.

The motherboard I'm using is Gigabyte GA-8SQ800.

Any thoughts?

Good call, I didn't set anything on the DVD player, but I do remember setting the jumper switch on CD one ages ago. What should the DVD be set as?

This is the way I have it:
* IDE1 is using HDD
* IDE2 has a Y cable, and I connected both CD and DVD to it.
