installing drivers on windows vista

I installed an evulation copy of windows vista pre-rc1 on another partion on my hdd.. to test it out.

however when I put the motherboard cd in, it won't load since it doesn't recognize the OS.

I've went to asus.com.tw, and they only have winxp drivers as well.. is there anyway I could install the drivers, to get them to work on vista?

mainly I just need the audio, and the IT8211 driver to enable the hdd controller.

what Asus mainboard do you have? If there aren't any Vista drivers for it, you're out of luck, unfortunately.

I ended up getting the hdd working.

the only thing I'm missing now is the audio driver 🙁

I tried downloading the drivers from ASUS website, and it gave me the same error.. no support for OS.

is there not any generic drivers I could install somehow.

When I try to install drivers for my OB sound I get the same message. However, after a brief period of time, It pops back up and asks if I want to install in protected mode, or some other wording I can't remember.

I go ahead with the install and I have sound. I don't have full functionality like I should, but I do have sound.

Are you not seeing anything similar?

Edit: I googled these beta Vista drivers.
