Installing Crystal Orb on Sapphire 8500

How do I go about getting the stock HS off of the GPU? I tried using an exacto knife, but it was very tedious and I had difficulty getting it between the GPU and heatsink to scrape it off. Not to mention the knife wasnt very long so I can not get it under the HS too much. What is the best way to do this?

I'm old fashioned... i usually put a thin cloth on the end of a screwdriver and shove it under the HS and pry.

I haven't a problem to date!

On the chip , the thermal paste is smeared all over.. i dont really have any room to put a screwdriver in
