Installing CRU Data Port ....Uhh Help

ChiknHead

Senior member
Ok I just got a used CRU Data port to put my to SCSI Drives in.
I have no manual on this thing. The problem I am having is I dont
know where all of these connections go....

The SCSI cable - yeah I know that one
The power cable - wow I know to of them.....

Now there are 4 more connetions......

1 (Black and Wire) ?

3 Connections that are together

1 ( with only a green wire)
1 (Yellow and Orange)
1 (Red Brown)

I assume they have something to do with the device selector on the Data Port but got no idea when to plug these guys on the drive.

I have a Seagate Cheetah ST318452LW and Seagate ST336607LW drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I found this link

but it doesnt have the same color coded pins as I have,
am I to assume the configuration is the same just with
different colored wires?

PS: The online manual is PDF format is garbaged up. If you look at where it has the
illustrations on how to hook up the connections it cant be read.

. You're right and I'm sorry that the diagrams are so poor - I sent them an email pointing out how crappy the diagrams are, perhaps they'll fix it, though I can't imagine it hadn't been pointed out to them before.
. I would call their tech support line on Monday and have them send you a new scan of the hookup diagrams as an attachment to an email or a fax. And/or snail-mail you a paper copy.
