Installing CD player in 99 Mustang?

Got a 99 Mustang V6 that came with tape/tunner in the middle spot and a CD player unit in the bottom spot behind the gear shifter. Anyway how hard would it be to replace the CD player/Tape player? I've never seen this before and its all factory. I wanna put a better CD player in it. You control the volume of the CD player through the tape player.

 
I've installed stereos in vehicles ranging from a 73 Beetle to a 2004 Chrysler and it's never been too tough. If you can upgrade your own PC, you can probably install the stereo.

it looks like that but down there where the open space is under the tape player theres a CD player. Do I still use that installation PDF?
