Installing ATI after GeForce

I'm not sure if this goes into the Video thread or this one but in any case...i've got a GeForce 3 in my machine now and just bought an ATI 9700 PRO. I wanted to know if there is anything i need to uninstall of Nvidia's stuff in order to install my ATI or can I just switch the cards in the AGP slot and let the comp do the rest. I've heard of some problems that happen when you just switch the cards.

Let me know.

Thanks.

>First, Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced/Adapter click Change/ Next/ Display a List of All Drivers/ Show All Hardware then select Standard Display Types and Standard Display Adapter (VGA). Click the appropriate nexts and finally Apply, then restart. (This removes the nVidia Drivers from your system)
>Second, uninstall anything nVidia related in the Add/Remove Programs section of the comtrol panel.
>Search on Google for 'Detonator Destroyer', dl it, run it following all instructions. (Removes nVidia files from Windows and from the registry.
>Now, you can shut dow your computer, remove the GF3, install the 9700 Pro. Follow the instructions with your new card to install the ATI drivers - you should be good to go.

Takes longer to write about it than to do it.................

Preferably, I have noticed that if you can format your HD and reinstall windows and everything, you will probably have a bit higher performance and you won't have to worry about driver conflicts.
