As the topic states, I'm about to install an XP 1800+. I'm wondering how long I should leave the cpu running to burn it in and what programs are available to test the cpu. All I remember is using prime95 with my old celeron...that was a long time ago...

I'm using the stock hsf...
Thanks for any advice....

You really don't need to "burn" your cpu in, especially if you're going to run it stock. As for programs to test for stability, seti@home, sisoftsandra are 2 of the most common along with prime 95. Seti will run your cpu at 100% for as long as you leave it on for, sisoft sandra will benchmark various parts of your hardware or all at once.
