Installing and Unistalling CPU

Here's the deal. I got a retail 1ghz T-bird coming in the mail and I wanted to boot it up at default speed and run it that way for a while. Later I plan to reconnect the bridges and overclock.

But first I want to make sure it works and not void my 3-yr AMD warranty if anything went wrong in the shipping.

Can you successfully install a T-bird with Arctic Silver, then take it off later, connect the bridges, and put it back on?

Yup, you can.
Just be careful when removing and reinstalling the heatsink and fan.
You don't want to crush the core.
