Im expecting my drives to arrive today, and I thought Id better post for any suggestions from people that have experienced doing this.

I have a P3 1.2g, Abit VH6T, 256mb, currently with one 30G IBM drive partitioned C D E F, with CDRW G and DVD H. Running on W98SE still (but I do intend to switch over to XP at some point in the near future)

So I get hold of my 4 drives, somehow manage to cram them in the case with my current hdd, plug in the Promise Fasttack, boot up and let the promise bios do its business- or not?

Is there any problems or setup snags I should be aware of? Ive already decided on a 16k stripe size, been reading as muc as I can about setting this up - but I still worry im gonna miss something or nuff it up somehow.

Any words of wisdom, support or mockery will be gratefully recieved :)

For Win98SE...upon boot up, when the drives are being read by the Promise RAID press the Ctrl and F keys then setup your system to the RAID of your liking...then you can partition the drives anyway you want...or even Ghost them from your current set-up.

XP you will have to load the Promise drivers when requested by the OS (F6)
