installing an OS from a virtual drive using VMware Workstation possible?

Basically as the title says: How would one go about getting VMware workstation to boot off of a virtual drive? Is this even possible?

My situation is as follows:

No dvd drive burner and the one I'm installing is over 700 megs, so I'm using DAEMON Tools to mount the ISO.

Should be just like booting off a normal drive - just tell it to boot off the cd rom drive letter associated with the virtual drive you are trying to boot off of.

You don't even need DAEMON tools. If you have the ISO, just tell VMware to use the ISO as the CDROM/DVD drive, et voila!

Found this out a bit ago, forgot to reply here. I'm a dumbass,

VMware sure is great for testing out an OS 😀
