Installing Acrobat Reader and Acrobat at the same time

If I install Acrobat Reader, and the full Acrobat, does the full Acrobat take over the functions of Acrobat reader?
I am asking because it takes a lot less time opeing the acrobat reader than the full version of acrobat, so if I am browsing the web and click on a pdf file to view, and when it opens up within IE, does it open it up using Acrobat Reader or the full Acrobat?

Thanks.

I've had both installed and the default application remained just the reader. I even installed the full version *after* the reader---so it didn't change the settings.

Works for me too. And even if it doesn't, all you have to do is change the file association back to the reader.

Full Acrobat contains the reader - in fact, when you open it it is like Acrobat on steroids. 🙂
