Installing A64 CPU/HSF

The only processer I've ever installed is the AthlonXP and stock HSF in my current machine. But I've got a new motherboard and Athlon64 on the way, so I was wondering if the process to install the CPU and HSF is at all different from the AthlonXP? And does the stock HSF use a pre-installed thermal pad, or does it include grease which must be spread?

I went from a P4 to A64, and the thing i noticed (other than no more retention clips) was that the A64 used 'nipples' to mount onto the mobo.

I think the stock HSF on my 3000+ had a layer of thermal paste already on it, i do not thik it was a pad, but it was there to use (if i wanted to use it)
It shouldn't be too complicated to figure out, especially if you've done a XP/HSF job before. I personally used a 7000alcu as a HSF so the installation was different (me thinks).

There is a square of the themal interface material (TIM) on the stock HSF. It works fine. HOWEVER! If you try to take the CPU out of the motherboard after you run the system you MUST use caution. The HSF becomes practically glued to the CPU. You need to wiggle the HSF back and forth before pulling up.
