I know this is not exactly pc tech, but I have a problem. Our new entertainment center (purchased by the woman) is this massive wooden towers. All of our AV equipment fits in one tower and the CDs are in another. With the door closed, the temperature inside the tower rises very quickly.
I would like to do a "rack mod" to the tower by installing a case fan with grill in the upper back of both stands to help exhaust the bad heat. Is there any way I can rig a standard extension cord to serve my purpose without having to regulate it through a PC power supply? What I would like to do is run power to it and maybe a small accent light to make it all look pretty. Any Suggestions?
