Installing a new power supply

sorry if this is a stupid question, but I never installed a power supply before.

I replaced the old PS that came installed with the Sonata II with the one below (Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550). the new power supply has the fan at the top and I wasn't quite sure if the fan should face upward in the case or downward.. or if it mattered?

I already installed it facing down, but I just want to be sure. I looked all through the manual and searched online, but couldn't find any instructions.

Thanks

There was quite a long series of notes in a thread here yesterday about the fan on top or bottom. The fan is on the bottom - the fan sucks air from the case and exhausts it out the rear of the PSU. Then the A/C plug should be in the upper left corner as you face the computer's backplane.

Antec NeoHE 500 > Antec TP II 550
Get than instead

For 'why'?
Please have a look at the specs and remember that Seasonic manufactures the Neo while TPII is done by channel something
