Installing a 89W 4400+ Toledo this weekend...HSF choice.

I just picked up one of these, and I will be shooting for 2.6Ghz or higher. I currently have a SLK-948U with a 92mm, fan controlled Panaflo on my Venice 3200+ @ 2.5Ghz.

I jumped on that Freezer 64 Pro deal for $15, and I think it's the more advanced HSF since it uses heat pipe tech. However, I'm wondering if the heatpipe tech advantage will be somewhat matched by the 100% copper design of the 948U. I'm planning on using the 64 Pro on the 4400+ right now...but I was just curious what some of you guys thought.

🙂

I've got an Arctic Cooler Freezer 64... on my 110 watt X2 4400 right now, and while running Orthos, it only got up to 50-51°C (core) and 42-43°C (sensor). That was at stock speed and stock voltage, though. But, it was also 10°C cooler than the stock (heatpipe) heatsink.
