installers always look for "isscript.msi" before starting??

I don't remember when this started, but every time I run an installer in Windows XP Pro (an example is the Nvidia 21.83 driver installer), the installer (or the OS?) tries to find isscript.msi. This isn't a system file, it's actually an installer FOR isscript. I managed to find it and download it, but it didn't fix the errors. When the installer looks at the a:, a temp directory, and then prompts me for a location of isscript.msi. If I hit cancel three times (because it keeps coming up), it gives up and the installer works fine.

It's extremely frustrating to hit cancel three times whenever I install anything new. Any suggestions?!? Thanks everyone 🙂
