I got a new HD and decided to format the new drive w/ WinXP so I could start out fresh. I left my old drive in and set it to slave. I proceeded to install winXP. After I got to windows it detected my old HD and asigned it as my C drive. I no longer need the old HD as since I've transfered all my old stuff off of it. Now, I just booted up the machine with only my new HD but windows now has my primary partition as "F" instead of "C". How do I fix this? Do I need to format again?

so do i need to format and reload XP or is there another way? The FAQ eluded to the fact that it would not work on a primary partition that has an OS loaded on it.
