Installed Win 10 on another drive before activation?

I have two hard drives. One with Win 7 which is eligible for Win 10 upgrade and activation. The other I installed a fresh copy of Win 10. The win 10 drive (2nd) is not activated because I didn't do the free upgrade to Win 10 on the first drive before I did a fresh install of win 10 on the 2nd drive. This makes sense.

Once I get the free upgrade on the Win 7 drive and activate with a digital entitlement will the 2nd drive with the fresh install of Win 10 activate automatically once I boot that drive?
 
Since you have a valid Win 7 key, just boot up from the Win 10 drive ... Windows will either be activated or ask you to activate. If it does, put in the Windows 7 key and you should be good. You can then boot from either OS whenever you want. Of course you can not use both OS at the same time.
