Installed VIA 438b drivers

and took a 1000pt. drop on 3dmark. Whats up with that? I read somewhere that they do not install correctly, is this true?
My system is
soyo k7v dragon +
amd Athlon 1900
pc2100 256mb ram
pny ti4600
all stock clocking

Did you install them in turbo mode(AGP) and made sure DMA was ticked in the box for the IDE drivers on install?

Well, I went ahead and uninstalled them and rebooted, then reinstalled. Also, uninstalled and reinstalled latest Detonator's. Hopefully, that'll work.

Rather than quoting a moderately useless synthetic benchmark. Play one of your favorite games and see what the difference is.

I also would recommend not using the Via drivers except the AGP. My performance is actually better with the default XP Pro drivers and it never crashes.
