I am a linux noob. I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my toshiba Qosmio laptop, and I can't seem to find my wireless network card. and get my system connected wireless. Where can I go in ubuntu desktop to find the listing of hardware so I can see if I can get the drivers working.

the nic is actually a realtek rtl8191SE wireless. but I will give that a post a try for it as well.

Are you saying you can't connect to any wireless networks? Generally you don't worry about updating drivers too much in Linux if things are working.

When you type the command 'ifconfig' what does that output?
