So, I got an update msg while on firefox saying to update. I update, and then restart my comp etc and now it doesnt work. I reinstalled it various times, deleted all the files in explorer and that didnt do anything. I ran an anti-spyware check, and used CCleaner to clear out all the cookies etc... Why doesnt it work still? I reinstalled it about 2 or 3 times and have done everything possible to fix it. Right now im running IE6 to type this post.

Any ideas?

Yes I have a suggestion---download the firefox 2.0.0.2 installer---go to ad remove programs and delete your previous version of Firefox---reboot into safe mode--and install 2.0.0.2 in safe mode---worked for me---in my case the incomparability was due to my version of javascript.

The problem seems to be an add on named Spellbound. After installing the latest update, when FF starts it states that Spellbound is not compatible or something to that effect and it could look for an update - if you answer Yes - thats when your problems start - so answer No and you should be okay. If you already answered Yes - Uninstall and re-install - seems a strange way to do things almost like the great ones from Redmond.
