Installed new Q3 Arena patch, now it keeps asking for s/n ! ! ! ??

slightly off topic--i apologize...

i thought i remember someone posting about this, too, but a search brought up nothing...

i installed the latest quake3 arena patch from id's website...now when i'm playing multiplayer games, i frequently get asked to re enter my product serial number.

does anyone else experience this, and is there a fix?

Yeah, the fix is cracking it.

Half-Life used to do this to me too, but it has stopped.

I think after you input the number, if you exit and make the q3key file read only it will take care of the problem.
