installed new PSU, now theres no display?

i installed a new PSU today that died last night. the system now has power and everything functions, but when i turn on the computer, my monitor still gets no signal. any ideas? my adapter is a radeon 8500 retail and i doubt its defective. thanks. should i reset/reflash bios?

When your PSU "died", what happened? Is it possible it took the mobo with it? Sounds like something might have happened to it, sorry to say.

a nasty power surge my protector didnt catch did the same thing to me last week-and took my motherboard with it.
