Just replaced a bad K7T turbo with K7N2 Delta2-LSR and also had to buy new ram
(Geil 512mb ddram pc 3200) and had to get an 4x/8x agp video card (Powercolor Xaber 200 X20L) The rest of my specs and history of this project are here
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=29&threadid=1583615&enterthread=y

Got everything put together and I have no beep code, no graphics, no post.
The cpu fan runs but other than that there's no signs of life.

I tried running it out of the case with just cpu, ram and video card as well as inside the case that way and with ide drives hooked up. No luck no matter how I tried.

The cpu was good when last run on my old mobo.

What steps should I take to diagnose?

I should mention that when I got my new mobo out of the box I accidently dropped it (it fell a couple of feet to a padded carpeted floor, landed on edge and I kept it from falling or bouncing around anymore than that). I hope that wasn't enough to damage it.

Please help with thoughts/insight/advice!

250 Watts? Recommended is 300 or more.

Did the mobo come with the diagnostic LED bracket?

You can pick up an ATX PS tester to check with. If thats OK, try starting the comp with barely anything plugged in. Like only vid card, keyboard, cpu fan.

Second thought, as you see by my first post, I tried running w/ just vid card, ram and cpu/fan, should that eliminate possibility of too little wattage from psu? or should I consider upgrading my power supply? If so what do you recommend?

Definitly consider getting a new PS. Look for something from Antec, Enermax, or one of the other major companies. I always recommend 350W or higher supplies. Leaves you room to upgrade later on. I don't know for sure if this will solve your problem, but it can't hurt either.

That's correct. You need to have a power supply with the 4 pin connector for that board. The Antec you have listed would work just fine.

Also, even though the manual that came with my motherboard is pretty vague for a first timer, it helps to read it!

Antec SL400: +12V@18A

That's a pretty anemic MAX current rating on the +12V rail for a $70.00 PSU.

Although Antec makes good products, Antec tends to be the Monster Cable of the PSU market. Quality PSUs with higher output can be had for $70.00 (or less). e.g.

ePOWER (Tagan) EP-450XP-P2B ATX12V 450W PSU - $ 54.00 shipped

+3.3V@26A, +5V@45A, +12V@28A

I ordered the Platinum Raid version and I could not get a post or a beep with 3 CPUs and 2 PSUs, 3 video cards. I RMAd it and the new one still has issues but I got it to run. Restarts are horrible: I have to turn the power off to get it to reboot after restarting or shutting it down.
