Here is the deal, I got a new 3.5 floppy (Teac) from newegg.com and when I replace my old floppy with the new one and I boot my computer I get "insert system disk" So i do and i get no where. I know the cable is in properly so what the hell, do you think i got a busted floppy??

hmm, is the light at the front of the floppy on continously? if yes then reverse the floppy cable connection at the floppy drive!

yep

make sure the ribbon cable angles down right where the cable enteres the floppy it should not arch up like 1cm then go down

The cables are installed right, the light goes on then off, and the cables work with my old floppy drive still... i never heard of this problem, i mean my computer works fine with my olf floppy, but i need to put it in another computer so i figured i would take the new one......... nothing but problems.

Check BIOS, maybe your HD got disabled accidently and the machine is trying to boot from the floppy. A longshot but could be the problem. Also make sure that your HD cable is connected, when installing the Floppy you could have accidently dislodged the HD cable.
