I installed mandrake linux, and now i cant boot from cd to install another operating system. I suppose if i format it will boot from cd again, how would i do this? I am at the linux operating system load up screen right now. A walkthrough would be great thanx a lot for anyone that helps.

wait, explain exactly whats happening .. i think i understand, you're saying after you installed mandrake, nothing else will boot from the cd? is your bios set to check the cdrom first for boot ? .. are you sure the cd you are trying to boot from is bootable ? ..

I had a similar problem with my abit vp6. After searching groups.google.com for about 15min I found out I had to have the cdrom as master on the primary, and the hard drive as master on the secondary drive. Pretty stupid, but it works now. Maybe check usenet to see if anyone has had similar problems. groups.google.com is a great place to search.

Yah i figured it out, I had to reset the bios. I just installed FreeBSD, linux was giving me a lot of crap. Hope I can get the webserver running from here.

Its pretty simple. Just read a few docs and you should do fine. Although, I have had as many or more problems with FreeBSD as I have had with linux...
