My friend told me I should have done restore point before the update so I can revert back to the previous state. So basically I CANT just simply unistall the video drivers?

What can I do?
Thanks!

From what I've been told, you can't go back. On the place to download it from microsoft's website, it mentions to make a restore point as well because you can't uninstall it.

That's kinda f'ed up 'cause usually when running hotfixes or installing drivers, it sets a restore point automagically. You might be able to find a "DX9 uninstaller" with Google.

I just found one here, checked the d/l linky and it works. Good luck.

I'm sure we'd all like to know if this "uninstall" program works. Everything I've read says that it can't be uninstalled without a Windows reinstallation.

Using the DX9 Uninstaller you'll need to have your WinXP CD handy, since you'll need it for the actual uninstall process.

Weird strict instrucitons... "type after me"
Phase 1..
Phase 2..
Phase 3..

etc etc.

Failed for me on phase 3:confused:

I guess I'll just format.
Thanks though!

Another thought, how about using the system restore in safe mode? Think it will work?
