Installed DVD-ROM, choppy video, buzzing sound

Just installed a slot Pioneer 16X dvd rom drive. Set it to Slave as my CDR burner is set to master. When I play DVD's, the sound is messed up and the video is choppy. There's a loud buzzing sound as well when I start windows. What is the problem? It opens up data CD's fine. But playing movies, it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

What decoder (software or hardware) are you using?

I am using PowerDVD. I also tried WinDVD and it doesn't even start up at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Video card? Sound card?

Ah, problem fixed. Forgot that the slave and master drive mixed up. Thanks!
