Installed all my games. What to start with ?

Ok, recently purchased a new hard drive and installed all my games. Well....most of them. Then the hard drive went bad, lost all games and saves, rma'd...got it set up again.

So which of these games should I play first ? To be honest, I haven't finished about 95% of them. So I should be busy this winter. 🙂

Most of these were bought, stored for a while. And just now getting attention.

Anyway, what game would you all rate #1 through #10 ?

Or what should I start with because when I look at the desktop, I am at a loss :\

It all depends what type of person you are. You didn't say your favorite type of games. My favorite game you have out of all those is Company of Heroes. Then you have stuff like Diablo 2, Chronicles of Riddick, Max Payne, Mass Effect, and many others that are good.

Well, as you can see. I like FPS's, RTS, well strategy in general and RPG's. I am not one really for one or two genre's.

That is why it is hard to decide I think. Shooters seem to go pretty quick nowadays. RPG's seem kind of long. And strategy games has thousands of ways of playing.

Which these things is what makes it hard to decide.

EDIT:

See..what I do is I buy a game knowing I didn't have the room to install it. So I guess you could say I stock piled games waiting to upgrade the HD. Now that I did, I am more confused than ever.

Oh, they have all been updated as well. Damn that took a long time to do.

Hell's Highway is unbelievably bad. I played the demo on PS3 some time ago. Oh man...just wow.

I think it dropped to $10 shortly after release. 😀

The gameplay on gametrailers.com looked ok and so did the graphics.

But that was a mighty blunt remark so the game must have a lost of flaws.

A couple diamonds in a pile of shit, most of those games I wouldn't even bother installing. In fact, if you have hard copies of them, I'd just throw them away.

???

He has more than just a couple of good games. He has many good games there.

Really? I think that the vast majority of those games are quite good.

In no particular order...
Bioshock series, Painkiller series, Farcry series, STALKER series, Quake 4, The Witcher, Doom 3, Fable, Medal of Honor series, Fallout 3, Grim Fandango, Fear, Crysis.
Mainly FPS/RPGs primarily since I think you'll be able to move through them faster. If you fire up Civ 4 or Age of Empires or Company of Heroes you may very well play that same game for a long time. If you stick to story driven games with little replay value, I assume you'll play through more of the collection.

Shitty games? Right... the majority of those are great.

Anyway I played MW2 multi a lot when it came out. Quit playing at level 65. Recently a friend of mine who bought MW2 with me upgraded his computer (MW2 was very very choppy before so we didn't play much) so we started playing some MP together and its been a lot of fun.

Just do yourself a favor and skip the exercise in mind numbing repetitive torturous gameplay that is Far Cry 2.

If ever there was hype for a game that completely let me down that would be the one.

Alot of people didn't like Doom 3 because the game didn't live up to the hype but it's still, IMHO, a great time waster. Give it a shot.

Wow that closely mirrors what i own give or take a few games.

My suggestion is buy a new game and play that 😛 Starcraft II would be a decent choice.

I'd probably play CoH or Civ4 BtS.

Company of Heroes was the best RTS of 2000-2009 and changed the way that RTS games are played. It will take several weeks of your life should you start playing 🙂

Civ 4 was just 'good' as far as games go. BtS adds certain new features and scenarios which makes it worth playing.

That’s quite a good list there, and I have most of those FPSes. I’d start by playing the three Stalker games back-to-back in their order of release.

If you want something short, I’d recommend Medal of Honor Spearhead & Breakthrough, along with Painkiller Overdose.

Also Far Cry 2, Doom 3 and Hell’s Highway are all very good games. I’ve finished Hell’s Highway twice, Doom 3 six times, and I’m currently playing Far Cry 2 for the second time (and loving it).

I don't understand why people ask others for recommendations of games to play that they already own. Why did you buy them? Are you too dumb to choose something for yourself?

Civ 4 with expansions (which you have) is a great game!

Also any of the Total War games... Medieval + Rome are both kool.

Not that its any of my business to comment on your way of doing things... but... buying so many games and not playing seems odd to me and a waste of money! Buy something and play it. Then buy another. Then by time you get to playing a new game it'll probably be about 50% off by now...

Anyway, enjoy gaming - definitely got plenty there to see you through winter!

I'm not an RTS fan, but here are the games that you have that I've enjoyed:

Max Payne 1 & 2
Mass Effect
Stalker series (lots of mods available that make the games much more fun)
Fallout 3 (if you get into it, you can easily spend 60-80 hours on it)
Oblivion (see Fallout 3)
Far Cry (Far Cry 2 is terrible)
Bioshock
FEAR
The Hitman series is pretty good

This guy, he is sadly suffering from game snobbery, it affects most gamers eventually when they raise their standards to unrealistic heights. Kind of like movie critics they become detached from what the general public likes and only make sense to the others in their elevated group...……I have lost many a gaming friend to this horrible disease.

Are you not the guy, that I saw on several other forums asking for free games ? You know...you could have those games if you would just go out and buy them yourself.
