Installed a 1ghz CPU on my ASUS CUV4X

i got a nice deal on a 1ghz cpu and when i installed it, my motherboard only recognizes it as a 750mhz...anyone know why ? i'm pretty sure this is a 1ghz cpu.

If its an "EB" model, then it requires a 133MHz CPU bus.

133MHz x 7.5 = 997.5MHz (1GHz)

100MHz x 7.5 = 750MHz

Find the FSB setting and set to 133MHz. It may be via hardware jumper on the mainboard or it may be in the BIOS. Also use the latest BIOS for CUV4X.

yay thanks, i did some jumper adjustments now it's at 1000


according to some cpu id program...clock speed is 997.46 mhz, bus is 132.99mhz , and multiplier at 7.5
