Installation problem w/ a new primary video device on Aptiva 2153 E3U

I'm having trouble installing a Creative Labs Savage 4 3D Blaster on my IBM Aptiva 2153 E3U. I put the card in my only PCI slot and boot the system. The card doesn't output to the monitor. I have on board video on this system but it is supposed to auto disable if I install a new primary video device. I checked the BIOS setup and it is set to auto disable. The on board video output won't output to the monitor though either if I have the card in the slot either. Does anyone know how I might go about disabling this on board video that is supposed to auto disable? Or does anyone had a similar problem? At this point I'm open to anything.

I believe you have to disable the onboard video chip via a jumper
use this Link from IBM's site to disable the appropriate jumper..good luck

I know they have a place to check to see if my mobo automatically disables my on board video. If you look up 2153 on your link it says Y to auto disable. However it doesn't, what would stop my on board video from not being automatically disabled? Thanks anyways.
