installation error message

Like many of you I tried to install IE6 last night. I downloaded the little file and ran it. But when I ran the setup, I got this error message:

"A previous installation had pending work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer to complete that installation before running Internet Explorer Setup. Setup will now close."

I'm using Windows 2000 Pro SP2, and I have no idea what the program could be that hasn't finished installing. Is there any way to check? I guess there's a flag somewhere in the registry or some kind of log file that's saying there is a program that's not done installing.

Any ideas? 🙁 Thanks!
