Installation Advice - Audigy 2ZS

Having grown sick of the pops 'n' crackles of my onboard sound, I picked up an Audigy2ZS Gamer for cheap here on the Forums. (Thanks Sapiens74!)

When I throw this sucker in my case tonight, do I need to completely disable the onboard sound before I do so? Or should the Detect New Hardware wizard do its magic and all be well?

If I do need to disable it, should I just uninstall it in the Hardware profile? Or is it something that I might actually have to go into the BIOS and do?

You'll need to turn off the onboard sound in the BIOS first. You should also unistall any utilites and drivers that associate with the onboard sound, although this second step is not essential.

You'll appreciate the difference - especially if you've got some good speakers.
