Install XP from DVD?

Any reason that Windows XP could not be installed from recordable DVD, other than having a DVD reader? My custom XP install CD is teetering on the size limit for CD. I've been very restrained in how large I've allowed it to grow and I don't know why, if DVD is an option.

Yes, I can confirm that it works. I've built custom XP installs with Microsoft Office, Java, Adobe Reader and other extras included and it installs just fine from a DVD.

I have installed XP Pro from a DVD many times without any issues. You can still use the Win XP-CD boot IMG for the boot loader.

Same here I have a full DVD made with Power ISO with all the apps you would ever need on it to install Windows XP. Beats the hell out of swapping CDs in and out during a clean installation.
