install xp from a usb flash drive...can i?

the cd drive is not available so how can i install xp?

can i copy the xp cd to a usb flash drive, boot and install from it?

i looked at winimage and did not see how to.

if it's a pita i will wait until next week and get an optical drive (but i want to get this laptop running!)
