Properly this question had asked, but i can't any thing in here. Anyway, just wonder what's different install WinXp in FAT32 and NTFS? All i know NTFS will provide better encryption file then FAT32, but how about driver issue?
... If you're using Windows XP as the only operating system on that PC, there is no reason not to use NTFS. The only good argument for FAT32 is if you are dual booting with a legacy Windows OS, or Linux.
I just got finished servicing a laptop just like mine and it runs faster from startup to shutdown and his uses fat32. Mine uses ntfs after a full format which was set up just like his, for some reason Sony partitioned the HDD 5gb/10gb and put XP on the 5gb. I didn't like it so I started from scratch after 4yrs. Is it that fat32 works better on a older/slower pc? Our laptops are running 900Mhz Duron's.
